Leveraging Height – Both Short and Tall

**Thirteen Minute Listen **

On this episode of the HyperLeverage podcast we’re going to dive into the concept of size, specifically Height and ask the question.Does Height matter? Can it be leveraged? Can it be Hyperleveraged?

And the answer is – sometimes yes and sometimes no.

Giraffes for example take advantage of their height to eat leaves on branches that other shorter animals can’t reach. They also use their long legs to gallop at a clip that allows them to escape danger. Mice use their shortness to be able to crawl under houses and other structure that would be closed off to other animals.

These are examples of using height as an advantage. But are they examples of hyperleverage? No because it’s the way these animals have evolved. It’s not conscious, proactive nor intentional.

Human height on the other hand, while a natural occurrence can be leveraged proactively and intentionally. This is how you HyperLeverage this asset. Whether it’s choosing the makeup of a basketball team or who to hire as a salesperson . These are examples of leveraging height. And according to the CDC American men are getting taller

We tend to like our presidents taller as well. Abraham Lincoln towered above everyone else as our tallest president at 6’4″”. In fact almost all of our presidents have been taller than the average male height at the time.

To do this I recommend use the Leverage Prism tool that I describe in my book, Hyperleverage, to deconstruct the ways that you can leverage height in any specific business, career or life situation.
