small business owners are empowered by leveraging all of their resources

Empowering Business Owners

**Thirty Four Minute Listen **

Small business owners are the lifeblood of the US economy. They create the majority of net new jobs and drive innovation and competitiveness. They account for 44% of all US economic activity.  Today many small businesses are in an existential fight for their lives. Business owners who have taken risks to create a better life for themselves are face with cruel new realities.

Many of the challenges are the same ones that business owners have always faced. Many are new. The biggest challenge though is how to leverage their assets and resources in an environment where their time is limited.

In this episode titled “Empowering Business Owners” I speak with Paul Maskill about the tools and actions that business owners can use to leverage what they have for better results and a more balanced business and life environment.

Topics Covered in This Episode:

  • The importance of having the right vision for your business and your objectives as an owner

  • How to protect your time.  Learn to delegate

  • Why no business owner should do it alone – the need to leverage the help of others

Final Thoughts/The Leverage Insight

The importance of creating a roadmap based on a clear vision of where you want your business or career to go is a critical cornerstone. If only it was as simple as asking Siri or Alexa on how to get there.

The key leverage insight for this episode is that business owners, executives, and career professionals should always be leveraging the assistance and expertise of other people. Surrounding yourself with others that can help you achieve your objectives and proceed down your roadmap is the sign of strength, not weakness. Whether it’s hiring talented and incentivized employees that you can delegate responsibilities to or finding a coach or an advisor who has the breadth of experience and wisdom to hold you accountable.

It comes down to having people help protect one of your most important assets – your time.
